Recovery Guild’s history goes back over 40 years and these halls have seen a lot. Over the years we’ve developed a reputation for offering honest, effective care for many addictions, including opiate addiction treatment.
Watch almost any news cast and you’ll quickly see there is an opiate addiction crisis in this country of overwhelming proportions. So much so that we’ve made treating this deadly condition a critical focus for our clinical staff, many of whom have first-hand experience with it.
The good news is we have more tools than at any time in history for dealing with this serious disease.
We’ve Made Treatment for Opiate Addiction a Priority
For the reasons mentioned above we’ve made treatment for opiate addiction a primary program here at Recovery Guild. We’ve added to our clinical staff to make sure we have a broader range of treatment and therapeutic options to offer so our clients can help develop a course of treatment with us that we know will be effective for them.
There have been many advances in the treatment of addiction and we are constantly evaluating and incorporating the best of these. Beginning with detox, or what is now called withdrawal maintenance, which is done under our medical doctor’s supervision.
You will be made as comfortable as possible during this process and our doctor may prescribe certain medications to help with symptoms associated with withdrawal, such as anxiety, sleeplessness, nausea and cravings. Typically during detox we don’t begin therapeutic sessions. Usually the brain isn’t ready and it’s best just to get rest and let the body and mind begin to repair themselves.
You Help Create Your Treatment Program
Once you’ve fully detoxed we can begin the actual course of treatment and therapy that we created with you, based on your input. Any opiate addiction treatment program that is going to work needs the commitment of whoever is going through that program.
We’ve discovered that the more input our clients have into creating their course of treatment the more involved they get in working through it. Most addictions are only part of the problem. There is usually a co-occurring disorder, as well, which also needs to be therapeutically addressed. This takes time and commitment, along with therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which have all been proven to be highly effective in treating addiction.
But we also want you to be as comfortable as possible during the course of treatment, which is why we completely rebuilt Recovery Guild into one of the most modern and resplendent facilities in the country, featuring amenities you’d find in a boutique hotel. So, call us now and let’s talk about how we can help you beat addiction and get your life back in order.
